Role Overview:

As an ICT Field Technician at Network Overdrive, you’ll play a crucial role in providing exceptional technical support to our clients. You’ll work on-site at client locations, ensuring smooth network operations and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service and Support:
    • Build strong relationships with clients and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
    • Provide first-line technical support, troubleshooting issues, and resolving incidents within SLAs.
    • Document and track all support activities.
    • Advise clients on best practices for network and system administration.
  • Network and System Administration:
    • Configure and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
    • Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software, such as servers, workstations, and network devices.
    • Implement and maintain backup and recovery solutions to ensure data integrity.
    • Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues.
  • Security:
    • Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to protect network and data assets.
    • Stay informed about the latest security threats and vulnerabilities.
    • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
  • Project Work:
    • Assist with network and system upgrades and migrations.
    • Participate in project planning and implementation.
    • Document project activities and outcomes.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong technical knowledge of networking, server, and desktop technologies.
  • Experience with network troubleshooting, hardware and software installation, and configuration.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Having Work rights in Australia.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA).
